On a more serious note, activity here is declining steadily, judging by the Activity Graph and the five days we've gone without a single post:



Does anyone have any ideas for stimulating activity? Few people seem interested in even logging in any more, much less actually posting. You could always help track down cool folks to force invite to join, of course, although online forums are hardly the biggest thing in 2013, and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to try to keep this site going. Alternatively, you could nag our forum admin into finishing the mainsite outlined in last year's longer, better-written topic, which could conceivably attract fresh blood. Since I could do with a word or two or encouragement, go put on your thinking caps and listen to some more Sam Spence music on the way out:

An event!

Most people here are from MFGG, perhaps we could have a competition?

i think that's a great idea, but what kind of competition could it be?

I feel the need to say that all sides have the power to make the forum, keep it running, or break it, letting it die in the process.

Members who are committed to stay should do some things to make their place be more lively. Do some things, like, hold events, take part in discussions, and contribute to the upkeeping of a forum. I also do support the suggestion to get people we know to join.

Administrators and moderators should focus on the promotion of their forums, find positive things to say about the forum they run to prospected members who may or may not have expressed interests to join.
