Ive just done a cheesey little battery pack mod.
Its simple enough, I just jumped wires off of the battery pack to a USB plug, which i can plug in to a rechargeable batery pack.


simple stuff here, Cut a standard USB wire and tied wires to the Main Positive and Negative terminals

And yes, this thing powers on!

This is really cool.

Also, while I've never used the Game Boy Camera myself, I'd seen it featured in old issues of Nintendo Power, and I'd been wondering if anyone actually remembered it.

The Gameboy Camera is actually kind of fun,
(digital camera aside)

It had a few minigames on it,
Run Run Run (kind of a racing game, had to beat the living hell out of the run button in order to move)

Space Fever II (Kinda like Xevious, or Strike Gunner)

Ball (Kind of a juggling game)

DJ (more of a music making game than a game, Never was good with it)

i loved the game boy camera, both because real digital cameras were prohibitively expensive in 1998, and because the software on it was so much fun

this is one game i wish would get rereleased on the 3DS virtual console, even though it'd be redundant with the 3DS having a built-in camera

yeah the game boy camera is awesome. if theyd rerelease it on 3ds vc id pick it up

they could even go one up with it if they ported it to the 3ds.

Updating the minigames to be 3d, they could also utilize the stereoscopic camera for capturing your face for use in the minigame.
