For those who are not aware, I run a historical blog located deep within the depths of Tumblr. For this, I have been collecting photographs of various world leaders, including the deceased Emperor Showa, AKA Hirohito.

There is one photo I'm not sure of:



Sources say it's Hirohito, but if so, his attempts to look as British as possible extended slightly past my expectations. (though that's a French uniform)

Actually, ignoring the possibility of eye glue and stuff like that, the back bit of this fellow's jaw is more defined than Hirohito's, I think (though he could just be positioned in a way that casts a shadow under it or something), and the top of his nose is maybe a milimetre off, but that could be an illusion given by the glasses.

If this turns out to really not be him, and instead be some random French dude, that guy has a really startling resemblance!

Opinion?

You know more about this topic than I do, but it certainly looks like Hirohito, with the same glasses, the same jawline, and the same eyebrows from other photos of him at that age.

That's probably hirohito on one of his visits to europe after WWII ended.
