found out about this thing a couple of days ago, apparently its an open android based game console,
they are already selling the dev-kit for it, which has spawned youtube footage of emulators operating under it.

this thing has me intrigued, and they are expecting it to sell for $99.00 at launch.

Personally, i think the concept of homebrew right out of the chutes makes this thing worth it, what do you guys think?

A bit of a waste of money if you ask me. Ive been reading some things about OUYA, and while it potentially can play alot of games from various consoles due to its emulation features, Id rather download an emulator on the Internet and play all those classic games than by a console that isn't powerful or even compatable enough to play certain games without certain games acting weird on the OUYA due to its default emulators it has.

Thing is, Id like to have options on which emulator I'd like to use.

It certainly sounds interesting. Even if it never catches on, I like the idea of a console that's affordable and friendly to those who enjoy tinkering with their systems.

I like this idea. Who knows? This may be the future of gaming itself!

the controller looks pretty bad lol

doesnt seem like a bad investment, though i have a raspberry pi and two cubie boards that'll be able to accomplish the same kinda stuff so it's not too interesting for me.

hopefully this'll be a cool product, but i'm sure there's many ways this could go wrong
I just came to say hello

Waiting for mine to be delivered as we speak.

And on that day, mankind received a grim reminder...
