Hey ya'll. I am soon going to be working on a game with two other people. And I'm posting her to see if anybody is interested in this project and even helping if best. Basically video game characters from a world team up to fight other video game worlds. Like for example Mario vs Donkey vs Rayman vs Metroid. This wouldn't play anything like super smash bros and rather their own games. It could still be considered a fighting game though. I would probably consider 4-6 players max in the game at once, but six might be too much. Overal here are the games that I consider staring in this game if possible.
-Super Mario Bros (SNES)
-Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
-Rayman 1 (PS1)
-Super Metroid (SNES)
-Other Possibles
-Spongebob SuperSponge (PS1)
-A Possible Sonic Game (most likely the first one which is "Sonic The Hedgehog")
So far
Gameactive (a helper)
WEEE200 (another helper)
Is interested in helping me, if you think this is a good idea please comment. I have slightly more ideas than what I just posted. Our team so far plans to make this with game maker.
OH AND THIS IS IN BIG QUOTES BECAUSE WE REALLY ARE TRYING TO FIND GOOD GML USERS OUT THERE. WE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS PROJECT WITHOUT A BIT OF HELP OR SUPPORT.

It could be fun if it's executed well. I don't know if I'd recommend trying to cram SpongeBob into a crossover like this, though.
Course clear! You got a card.

So is this like Smash Bros where they just fight one-another in game-themed worlds?
Or are they worlds from the multiple games and there are just bunch of characters in them? |

We will most likely have it so the maps look like the actual levels from each game. The camera focuses on all four (or six) players at once. And each character would fight like they would in their own games. Mario, and Donkey Kong could jump on other players or enemies to hurt/defeat them. While characters like Rayman and Samus would actually have to try to attack them.
