Anyone else familiar with these things? Munching these tart citrus goodies while lounging in the sun and expelling the seeds from your teeth is the pinnacle of the Florida experience, at least when we're not getting our feet dirty with racketeering and juicy political scandals.

I've never actually seen one until now. In fact I haven't even heard of them until a show a friend convinced me to watch heavily mentioned it at one point. It seems you've saved me the hugenormous trouble of doing a quick search, so I guess I'll go and salute this picture.

And I thought Oranges were a part and heart of the true Florida experience. I should try them.

Kumquats are a lot more sour than oranges - some can be nearly as tart as a lemon. Another difference between kumquats and most citrus products is the peeling is very sweet and flavorful.
