I don't normally direct such harsh language at the recently deceased, but good riddance. His handful of positive contributions - namely, improved healthcare for the poor - shouldn't distract us from the reality that he ran a totalitarian government that persecuted his opponents and actively supported dictators and other terrorists around the globe.
Part of me is surprised he was outlived by his comrade Fidel Castro, but everyone knows that Fidel somehow found the secret of eternal youth anyway (or else is a zombie).

you more or less read my mind on the topic of both chavez and castro, bibby. knock on wood that that old bastard will kick the can eventually.
though i now have a mental image in my head of castro becoming like dracula in castlevania and transforming into an immortal vampire. if this happens, i volunteer to fight him with the vampire killer
