I don't know a whole lot about the series, but iirc the boxing/fitness game won best game of the year on the Jimquisition.

It's so frustrating that you've always got to have your guard up and they only have to get you once on a bad day. If it can happen to the haveibeenpwned guy it can happen to anyone.

I suspect that this is due to Mario touching an "Out-of-Bounds" invisible wall.

Missingno. Hunt

I used to like a website called TRsRockin.com which documented a whole lot of Pokemon glitches. The closest thing nowadays is "TheZZAZZGlitch's" videos on Youtube.

Back in the day, people used to go wild with these glitches. It's pretty easy to get Pokémon Red and Blue to explode in entertaining ways, and it gets unhinged really d*** quick
Just seeing a Missingno. causes the game to overwrite part of your save data, which means that viewing your Hall of Fame after doing that will cause it to glitch out in some really intense ways. When I was a kid with a Game Boy Color, I used to try to listen to some of the glitched noises it'd make in the dark in the bathroom of my grandma's house. I would nope out pretty quick because of how unsettling it could get
It's actually so lucky that the only save data Missingno corrupts is the Hall of Fame and not something actually important.

Good job rescuing the banjo. I'm surprised your neighbour didn't just chuck it on marketplace as 'free to good home' or something.
AOL is discontinuing dial-up

Oh yeah, I remember the AIM days! We had AOL dial-up for about 12 years - my family was just a little late to get aboard the broadband train.
The exact estimate varies, but I've seen reports that over 200,000 Americans still use dial-up. That's not a huge number relative to the country's population, but it's still a decent number of folks. I'd imagine many of them are elderly people who don't use the Internet much and stick with what they're used to for getting online, but there are still places where it's hard to get high-speed Internet.
Similarly we had dial up and Windows 98 until like 2008 because, uh, we weren't well off enough for that glorious Australian ADSL 1.
I'm surprised AOL was still offering dial up as recently as this year, considering how cheap broadband is these days. Though I also know a lot of American telco services are monopolised so you have crap service in a lot of places. So maybe it made sense for some people.
I never used AOL the messenger application but knew a lot of forum folks who did. Teen me refused to download something with the word "America" in it.

My hot take is that pineapple ONLY belongs on pizza because it tastes awful in every other context
