So I went by a game store today and picked this up:

A Sega Genesis (model 2 I believe?) for $24.95, Mortal Kombat II in the box for $7.95, Earthworm Jim 2 for $9.95, and Sanic 2 for like $3 but it was free because buy two get one free. I asked the guy for a good SNES RPG, and he recommended Romance IV to me, so I got that one for $19.95.

Also, I'm gonna go ahead and post most everything else worth sharing:

NES games: Contra, Donkey Kong + DK Jr, Metroid, SMB + Duck Hunt, SMB3. I don't even have an NES anymore unfortunately :(

SNES: Mario Paint, Romance IV, Super Mario All Stars (not pictured), Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Star Fox

Atari 2600: Adventure (a classic and must-play imo), Circus Atari, Cosmic Ark, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Space Invaders, Super Breakout, Vanguard

GBA: Mostly crappy licensed games, but I've got Metroid: Zero Mission, Megaman & Bass, and Sanic Advanced or something

GB/GBC: SMB DX, SML

Where programming happens. Also, stickers of some awesome things, and a scribbled-down Zelda timeline for reference.

World of Nintendo figures proudly displayed! I don't have all of them obviously but maybe one day I will! I have more that I'm gonna sell in the future.

Store Mobile Display for E.T. The Extra Terrestrial on Atari 2600! I love it. One day, hopefully I will have a boxed copy of E.T. and display it on a small table under this.

My disc games collection. PS2 games I got from a guy, not much noteworthy except for Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection + a PS1 copy of Metal Gear Solid make me happy. Awaiting a copy of Skate for PS3 in the mail. I'll one day have a PS3 of my own, haha.

Wii games: Twilight Princess, Lego Batman, Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Link's Crossbow Training (disguised as Turbo Tax haha)

Wii U games: WWHD, Lego Batman 2, New Super Luigi U, Nintendo Land, Super Mario 3D World

Unorganized shelf of various things. There's a box for a M&L: Dream Team edition 3DS behind other stuff. That's an Atari Flashback, if you can't tell. My actual Atari is put away in the closet. The Pibb bottle might look like trash, but it has very high sentimental value to me believe it or not o:

Posters!!!

...and that's all I bothered to take pictures of. What neat stuff have you guys got?

I'm digging those Zelda posters! I guess taxes are the new Moblins.

Remind me sometime and I'll snap a picture of my NES/Super NES game collection and my collection of McDonald's Happy Meal Goombas from back when SMB 3 came out and I was really, really little.

Moblins, you mean the ones that give you rupees in LoZ? Actually I haven't seen income taxes yet, got my first job right after tax season haha.

Also, the stuff I got today is from Game Over in Fernandina Beach, it's the finest game store I've ever been in I believe. So many games from so many consoles, all in great condition! And good deals on stuff imo.

Moblins are the goblins that appear in the classic Zelda games, although Bulblins seem to have superseded them in most of the 21st century games. If you put a Zelda game in a TurboTax case, Link will have to shoot arrows at taxes instead of Zelda enemies!

Thanks for telling me about that place in Fernandina. I should check it out sometime. For a while it was really hard to find places here that sold classic games.

yall want to see some s***? i got some s*** to show you

stuffed animals, including fish, sanecs, a raiho jack frost, and a couple handmade ones i didn't do (jigglypuff and a metroid/mochtroid)

rare console games, most of which cost way too much with the exception of the ps2 games. by means of serendipity, i happened to go to gamestop when they were selling ps2 games for 75% off, so even devil summoner 2 cost $5 or so. (earthbound also came from a gamestop which was selling it for $30 back in 2003 or so)

neo geo pocket color and some games. this thing was way lamer than the hype made it sound, that's for sure

game consoles and underpants in equal measure, i think. pictured are my xbox 360, ps3, and the dreaded xbox one, with none of the saintly ps4's visage to ward off the evil

that's supposed to be a wii u underneath the hdtv there

evidence that fireball is a right wing extremist, politically conservative, or something to that end

less than half of my ps2 collection. you know how gamestop up and pitches out the boxes for older games, right? if they didn't do that, i'd need another shelf for all the games i have for that d*** thing

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

Some nice, thick archaic computer books you got there! I'm sure full of culture references that my generation and onward will never understand haha.

Btw, I have that same journal, f3k!

And that's a nice little collection of Tony Hawk games. I used to own every one up to American Wasteland, but now I only have thps1 and 2, and AW.

I actually forgot to take pics of several things so I'll get around to my thick archaic computer books, musical instruments, N64 games, and consoles soon.

you know, for something that a generation of people grew up with, there aren't many people on the internet who remember the tony hawk games. it's weird.

i discovered that i had tony hawk 4 in my ps2 binder when i was looking for all of this swag to take pictures of. i had forgotten i even had it, so i'm part of the problem, i think

Yeah, the Tony Hawk games were extremely popular during the previous decade. I never got into them, but I've always wanted to play the game that features Kona Skate Park, which is quite close to where I live. I agree that it's surprising how few people seem to talk about them these days.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 had Kona. That was pretty cool! I actually got into skateboarding from the games, so I had been to Kona a lot before I got the one that featured it haha.
