I was going for an abstract form of art, in order to pay tribute to his free spirit, and the unusual choice in colors just seemed to fit this aspect.

Sadly though, I didn't have any actual photos of Coop. So the reference for that came from Google.
I was at least fortunate enough to find one that looked close to him...
