A day to commemorate and celebrate one of my favorite things. In honor of this fine day, I challenge you to use a semicolon properly; you'll enjoy doing so. If a semicolon is too much for you, at least take the time to learn the distinction between "your" and "you're"!
Course clear! You got a card.

National Grammar Day is a thing? That's neat.
I've never really been sure if I use semicolons correctly; I usually just hope for the best whenever I throw one into a sentence. I think I might have them down though. The making of this reply inspired me to go research the usage of commas preceding the final word in the previous sentence. --- Edited by: Miles, Mar 4th, 2014 @ 4:21 pm |
