i had to go to work before i told you this on skype, but why are the basketballs instant kills in the beta version? i've never gotten past that part because of that

That was rather fun. How did Yoshi's Island turn into a dictatorship, or is that something we'll learn later in the game?

Hee hee. As you probably know, I love political fan games! The mechanics are in this game are pretty slippery, though, especially for the Purple Coin. You'd be wise to tweak those.

the addition of checkpoints makes this so much more enjoyable. i agree with bibby that the mechanics of how this game plays are too slippery. the enemies give too much knockback, but i think you could probably use that somewhere else in the game.

i think you ought to have some sort of object in the game that kicks you in the same way that enemies do now, and then you should remove that effect from the enemies. you could use it for a puzzle level or something where you have to cross gaps after being hit by the kick things.

also, can you make the purple coin be able to shoot faster? i feel like the level with the tank boss is more time consuming than it should be, because there are points when you need to attack with your shuriken to proceed and you can't throw them fast.

Actually this game is very enjoyable and polished, especially main menu. The first part of first level feels very nice but the second part is very long, boring and hard. I suggest you to make the boss weaker and add a checkpoint.

Strange. The game crashed right after the Tower Defense minigame.

Weird. Is it the cutscene part, the next level or the part when you won the tower defense level? I might port it to a GM Studio.
