After experimenting in Anvil Studio, I have managed to shred out some random tunes. I think I may be on to something.

First successful experiment, nothing fancy, but It worked.

After some adjustments, I came up with this. I wonder if it's usable?

Experimenting put to a real test. I am rather proud of how this one came out.
Definitely putting this thing to use, somewhere.

Sorry about the slow response, but these are quite nifty! I'd love to hear you do some more musical stuff in the future.
Something: The opening is really strong. However, after a while the melody begins to sound a bit random, as if it's unsure where it's going. I think a sharper contrast between the loudest and quietest parts of the song could help, too, especially if this was used in a highly dramatic level environment. Something2: This would be a perfect fit for a jungle/tropical level. Maybe a desert world, too. Showdown: The first half is great, although the end of the song seems to lose a bit of the flow. Would work nicely for a boss battle.

Been almost a year since I last posted in this thread.
Perhaps naming these isn't my best factor, but here they are. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/49bzdn6fe3s569l/Botched.ogg http://www.mediafire.com/listen/ivgyjrd7u5mfraj/Hardcore.ogg http://www.mediafire.com/listen/gkkou7acsyyx5ks/Frozen_Palace.ogg |

Botched, in spite of its name, has a lot of energy and attitude. The other two songs are cool, too.
I find it amusing that Mediafire censored the name of "Hardcore", even though there's nothing remotely offensive about it.

I don't mean to hijack your music thread, but I Donkey Kong Country-ized your "Botched" song:

Nice job. Which piano soundfont did you use? I think you might be able to make the song more interesting by using a different soundfont or VST for the piano, or perhaps using a wider range of octaves for it.
