Peach Coke: A Review (Post) Every blue moon I'll grab a cold beverage from my local Coke Freestyle machine. And recently I found myself face-to-face with an intriguing new option - Peach Coke.

Not this Peach.

This sounded like an interesting beverage, so I gave it a try. Peach Coke looks like regular ol' Coca-Cola. The smell is pleasant - it gives off a strong hint of peachiness without being overpowering.

As for that really important little detail... the taste is surprisingly good! There's a strong peach flavor, but it doesn't go overboard. The peach flavor feels smooth and refreshing, a nice contrast with the sharpness of regular Coke.

Apparently Peach Coke is much more prevalent in Japan and especially China. (I'm not sure about other countries.) There's also been a Georgia Peach Coke that's made with cane sugar that comes in glass bottles - I think it's been discontinued. I have no way of knowing how similar (or dissimilar) these are to their Freestyle counterpart.

Nobody paid me to say this stuff. I'm not that famous. I promise.
I now have a banjo (Post) Not the kind that comes with a Kazooie.

A couple of days ago, I went walking and saw one of my neighbors was getting rid of an old banjo. It was sticking out of their garbage can, a few hours before trash pickup was to commence.

I don't normally pick up other people's garbage, but I can't resist picking up a cool musical instrument for free! Especially one that's worth a nontrivial amount of money once I clean it up and restring it.

Currently, it has only three strings, but I just ordered some new ones! This'll be fun to mess with.

hi (Post) My Fourth was pretty good as well. I went out to get good seafood, which is always a plus. I also went to a parade and played some Super Mario 3D Land. I still haven't finished that game.
Post your dreams (Post) I am glad that Miles still has entertaining dreams articulated in a highly entertaining way.

Last night, I dreamed that I was hosting a potluck lunch at my house for everyone in my workplace. Lots of people showed up - some bothered to bring a dish. But I hadn't really prepared for this large gathering - I didn't even take the time to clear random groceries off the table, and I hadn't thought about where people were going to eat or serve their food.

In this same dream, I read a magazine or newspaper article about how you could now go to Disney World and see a psychoanalyst who would tell you what he thought your dreams meant.
WeatherStar 4000 Simulator (Post) Oh yes, this is a very good place to use Highway Blues or PASSPORT.MID!

And yeah, classic TWC music works well for this. I actually bought a Pat Metheny CD a few years ago just so I could rip the MP3s and use them for this. That said, Pat Metheny music is pretty cool even if you're not using it for a TWC simulator.
Talk to Transformer (Post) Seems something similar is still active:

hi (Post) Some people don't even need a P-Wing to fly high...
Eternal mall (Post) Yeah, Regency Square Mall finally closed its doors a week ago! I went there at least once every year of my life, except for last year (since I usually go around Christmas and I still wasn't feeling 100% then). It was a fun place to go back when it was fully-occupied and well-maintained.

Malls are still fun - especially when it's really hot or rainy outside.

People often blame Amazon and e-commerce for killing off indoor shopping malls. Occasionally the blame goes to youthful mischief and crime instead. While those things haven't helped malls, I think the main thing that killed them off is the horrid business decisions made by many of their owners.
hi (Post) Be careful up there, though... Rotary Lifts and Fire Chomps are extra-dangerous after partaking of a particularly "Super" Leaf!
