I'll be using this topic in lieu of Char's logs because I don't know how much I'll actually be logging. Anyway, my Minigame Competition entry has something to do with zombies, as you might guess, and I didn't do any work at all yesterday.
EDIT: Added download link.

An early title screen I finished last night. I also added two pieces of music (both MP3s) that people may end up adoring or absolutely hating - I'm not sure which.

The text looks good. Is it animated or static?

I'm glad you liked it! It's static. I made the text with a text generator I found on some Web site (I don't remember where). The background, however, moves diagonally in the current version.

I've got the basic Mario engine sort of finished, though there's still a bit of glitchiness remaining. I've also started designing most of the other objects. Since we're just about halfway to the deadline, I'll see how advanced I can get this.

A really early beta screenshot, before I started working on the HUD. Again, all kinds of stuff here is subject to change:

I like that brick texture. Where is it from, and may I use it for something? Mario looks like of glossy when I look at that screenshot from a certain angle on this monitor. --- Edited by: Miles, Jun 1st, 2011 @ 10:13 pm |

All of these graphics (except the logo) are from Super Mario RPG, and I ripped the tiles in the background from a screenshot I found somewhere (I don't recall where, but it wasn't MFGG). If you'd like it, you can have it!

That'd be nice. I think I can just grab it from that screenshot if you don't want to upload it. |
